The Western Development Commission (WDC) will join the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht at the National Ploughing Championships, taking place from 15–17 September 2026 at Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
The event brings together communities, businesses, farmers and organisations from across Ireland and provides an opportunity to showcase the range of supports available to rural communities and regions.
WDC will be part of the Department’s tent alongside a range of organisations and initiatives working to support rural and community development. Visitors can meet the WDC team and find out more about our work supporting regional development, investment, digital innovation and connected working across the Western Region.
