The WDC is working on the EU funded BCE initiative with international partners to build on the success of the Circular Ocean project, which focuses on marine litter as a transnational problem. BCE adopts the trans boundary co-operative approach that aims at finding/establishing, innovating and promoting the relevant SMEs within the region that can potentially form part of an emerging circular economy sector which can transform plastics from Fishing Net, Ropes, Components and Peripherals (FNRCP) in a sustainable manner, into new products and services.
